Juan de la Cerda and his son Juan Diego own and manage El Socorro where Juan senior took over the farm from his father in 1980. El Socorro is credibly successful, winning the Guatemala Cup of Excellence in both 2007 and 2011. The farm is very well managed, with great care taken in every little detail of the farm. From the selection of cultivars, through to the harvesting and processing of perfectly ripe coffee cherries. The 74-hectare farm is divided into 21 lots where they grow 7 different coffee cultivars, including this Bourbon.
